Regular dental check-ups let our dentists spot and treat problems early — from decay to gum disease and oral-health concerns. Most adults are seen every 6–12 months.

Regular check-ups are the simplest way to keep your teeth and gums healthy and to catch problems early, while they’re still easy to treat. At Somercotes Family Dental Centre, on Lower Somercotes just off the B600, your dentist examines your teeth, gums and soft tissues and takes any X-rays needed — all of which comes under NHS Band 1 (£27.90).
Most adults are seen every six to twelve months, depending on their dental health; children and higher-risk patients may be seen more often. Keeping to regular appointments usually means fewer surprises and less treatment further down the line.

Band 1 covers: Check-up, diagnosis, X-rays, scale & polish. Whatever treatment you receive within a single band, you pay just one charge per course of treatment.
