Emergency Dental Care at our practice
Severe toothache, facial or gum swelling, a broken or knocked-out tooth, or a knock to the mouth all count as dental emergencies. If any of these happen, call Somercotes Family Dental Centre on 01773 609543 as early in the day as you can — the earlier you ring, the better our chances of seeing you that day or the next.
We treat emergencies on both NHS and private terms, and most urgent care — including pain relief and first-stage treatment — comes under NHS Band 2 (£76.60).
When we’re closed: call NHS 111. They’ll direct you to the nearest urgent dental service covering Somercotes and the wider Amber Valley area and can advise you straight away.
Please don’t head to A&E for dental pain on its own — NHS 111 or an urgent dental service is the right route and will usually get you seen far quicker. Once your emergency is dealt with, you’re welcome to register as a new patient for ongoing care.
