What are Bridges?
A bridge is a permanent replacement for a missing tooth or teeth which is supported by surrounding teeth

Bridges are extremely beneficial as they allow you to replace multiple teeth, which improves their function and appearance
What to expect
It tends to require two visits for a bridge to be fitted
First visit
- Your dentist will take an impression of your teeth and gums to create a bridge which best fits your mouth
- Your dentist may fit a temporary, tooth coloured crown or bridge
Second visit
- Your dentist will remove any temporary treatment
- Your dentist will provide local anaesthetic to prevent any discomfort during the fitting
- Your dentist will fit the new, permanent, custom made bridge
- Your dentist will ensure the bridge fits properly by examining your bite after the addition of the bridge
